Being recognized and inducted into the Steinway Hall of Fame is a milestone I never truly expected, and it represents a profound validation of the dedication and passion I have poured into teaching the art of piano over the years. The entire experience was humbling, and I feel immense gratitude to be placed among such an esteemed group of educators and artists.

This recognition is not just for me; it reflects the commitment and hard work of all my students—past and present—who inspire me every day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Steinway & Sons for this incredible honor, and to everyone who has supported me on this journey. It was a truly unforgettable event!

Congratulations, Jasper!

Congratulations to Jasper Ouyang of The Quarry Lane School! His performance of Beethoven’s “Pathetique” was a remarkably fitting conclusion to the summer season at the beautiful Tokyo Opera House concert hall, just before students return to school.

I am honored to announce this achievement in my teaching career: my induction into the prestigious 2025 Steinway & Sons Teacher Hall of Fame!

This recognition follows years of dedication to teaching piano performance. I was deeply grateful to have previously received the Steinway Top Teacher Award in both 2021 and 2024, but this latest honor has me humbled. To join the ranks of the world’s most distinguished piano educators in the Steinway Teacher Hall of Fame is a dream come true and a moment I will cherish forever.

The induction ceremony is scheduled to take place in October 2025. I will have the incredible opportunity to fly to New York and attend the celebratory event hosted by Steinway & Sons. It will be an honor to stand alongside my fellow inductees to receive this significant honor.

This accomplishment is not mine alone. It is a testament to the hard work, passion, and musical journey of every student who has walked through my studio doors. I owe my deepest gratitude to all my wonderful students—your commitment to your craft and your love for music are my greatest inspirations.

A special and heartfelt thank you goes to Justin Levitt for the nomination! Your effort and belief in my work truly made this possible.

Finally, to all the incredible parents of my students: your unwavering support, encouragement, and partnership are invaluable. Without your commitment to fostering a musical environment for your children, this extraordinary accomplishment—and all the joy it represents—simply wouldn’t have been possible.

Thank you all for sharing this incredible journey with me!
